Present Tense

The present tense is one of the three main tenses used in grammar.
It is used to:
Talk about actions happening at the time of speaking or writing
Can you please look at the map for me. I'm driving.
Describe unchanging conditions or states of being
Water always boils at 100C degrees.
Recount actions which happen habitually
We play Bingo every Tuesday.
Talk about events in the near future
I can't stay any longer. I'm leaving tonight.
Main present tenses are:
- The present simple
- The present continuous or progressive
