Note, for information on South Korea, see here.
North Korea is a single-party state and dictatorship with a population of some 25 million. It is isolated from most of the world with its closest ally being China.
In recent years there has been a slight relaxation of control with regard to English teaching and teachers from overseas can find work here. This is usually through charitable agencies. The British Council occasionally run teacher training courses.
