ICAL CALL Certificate
The ICAL CALL Certificate is a specialised qualification for teachers wanting to learn more about CALL (Computer Assisted Language Learning) for English teaching.
It is a thorough introduction to CALL taking students from the very basics of what CALL is to an in-depth look at how to set up a lab, which programs to use and how they can be best used in the classroom. Plenty of sound CALL activities and exercises.
It assumes minimal knowledge of computing (students just have to know how to use the internet and email) and takes students through the 5 modules step-by-step with plenty of help from your personal tutor.
To take this course students must have an internet connection and will be expected to download and use new programs (n.b. the ICAL tutor will be able to help with this if required). All the material and software needed will be supplied or is available freely online.
The course is online and allows for self paced study.
