Common Nouns

A common noun is a noun which is used to talk about an object or concept.

Note, when we talk about people or placenames then we use a Proper Noun.
Common nouns can be divided into two main groups: concrete and abstract.
A concrete noun refers to an object which we can see, taste, smell, hear or touch. An abstract noun refers to a concept which can't be seen or seen, tasted, smelt, heard or touched as such.
